Further to my previous message re: furnished accomodation in Umbria. Just had another thought.

We have a beautiful house in a lovely inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The house has 4 - 5 bedrooms, 2 balconies, recently renovated, new kitchen, pool, large garden, lovely, sunny living space, in a private tree-lined cul de sac and close to primary and secondary schools.

We are looking to move to somewhere in Umbria or Tuscany or any region around these areas - ideally in or close by a middle sized traditional Italian village, with primary school nearby. We would really need a large house in exchange with 4 or 5 or more bedrooms and good living space.

Timing wise, we are looking to move in September of this year for a year or more depending.

Hi Arty, I know several years have passes since you wrote this, but was wondering if you actually did find a house swap? We are in a similar situation but would be happy with two to three bedrooms near Genova! Any assistance would be great! Thanks

You should check out sabbaticahhomes.com
Acadmecics and other list swaps and rentals all over the world. We both rented our home and found another one using that site.

Good luck.
