I miss America so much. I was there last month and I realized I should have never left. This country has never felt like home to me and God knows I have certainly tried to fit in here. I have no patience for the incompetence of these Italians and their closed mentality. I miss the justice, equality and organization of America. Here its like the wild west everywhere you go. There are crooks everywhere and people evading taxes just to be able to live comfortably. Trust me this is not a place to come to live.

Yes, I suspected this, too.

LadyAnabella, I'm sorry you're unhappy here and respect your right to vent. However, starting numerous threads with negative comments is unnecessary. We also have several Italians on our board and insulting them is uncalled for.

I'm very sorry you feel the way you do. Yes, we too miss things about the states, but we also love many things about Italy. Yhe wonderful thing about being an expat is that we get to embrace two cultures, and sort of pick and choose the best of both worlds.

Your numerous negative posts seem to be almost like an attack on Itay and all it's people, and right now, those of us living here ARE it's people too!

Thinking of buying a house in Umbria? Buy ours! Read about it on our blog: Art and Barb Live in Italy

Dear me, you _are_ struggling, aren't you? I can't help thinking there must be something underlying your outpourings on so many threads.

Try and get a sense of perspective about all these differences which you see so negatively. For what it's worth I've enjoyed holidays in the US but I wouldn't want to live there. Various reasons including I'd find it difficult to get the right to live there, I would find it difficult at my age to get a job, and I certainly couldn't afford the health care costs.

As the OP quite obviously is a troll, I'm closing this thread.
