I really need a hair cut and am looking for a beautician that speaks and will understand the type of cut I want.

Can anyone help?

grazie,

In lieu of someone giving you some advice about Milan all I can say is look for either BH Salons - part of Toni and Guy (such as it is these days!) and normally have English speaking staff or, failing that, look for Jean Louis David - they won't speak English but they do have style books you can point out a style in that all the stylists are trained to do. HTH

In my experience, I've only found English-speaking stylists in really high end places like Area 6 & Coppola.

Thanks Alyson and Courts in Milan, really appreciate your response.

I got the name and phone number of a shop that is near by, from another local expat. I called only to find out that the woman who spoke English wasn't there. What I couldn't understand is whether she is unavailbe until 4 Dec or if that's her next open appointment.

Later that day, I walked over to the FastWeb store for help. Non possible, that's become a theme for us here.

I noticed that next door was a salon. No one spoke English, but a customer thought she knew what I wanted and told the stylist. Made an appointment for later the same day. Well, I got a hair cut, it isn't what I wanted however I loved the experience. WTH, it's only hair and will grow back!

Can't wait for my first Italian pedi Cool
