Would non rompere be the closest translation, or is there a better phrase?

I love the way Italians turn a phrase, so descriptive! Makes you think where the phrase originated.

"Non rompere le scatole!"
(don't break the boxes!) gig

(one of my 'favourite' sayings....)But if you're the one who 'ruffles everyones feathers' then you are a "Rompi scatola"

Rompipalle is very unpolite, like rompicoglioni, rompimaroni and all the "palle" equivalents.

Rompiscatole it's not a compliment, but at least it is not unpolite.
I wouldn't use rompipalle with people I am not in confidence with.
