Ciao Tutti,
I'm in the process of applying for the Working holiday visa (to cut a long story short the visa will give me the permission to stay the 6 months prior to my wedding in May 2009) Of the 12 months this visa allows me, 6 months of health insurance will be provided for me through the Australian medicare and the other 6 months I must find my own. The tricky thing is once I am married in May I am covered automatically but after some long discussions at the brisbane consulate they have informed me that I still have to take out my own insurance regardless of this situation to be elligable for the visa. Infact, he advised me to take out 12 months of insurance as a "better safe than sorry". Does anyone have any suggestions of companies, round about costs or advice on this??

Thankou!!
