That is what we are talking about. The bill was allowed to lapse by congress in November 2006. It's irrelevant to a possible Alitalia bankruptcy in 2008 or 2009.

Despite the fact that it lapsed in November, 2006 it is NOW having a negative impact on customers of ATA and Aloha Airlines. I think that is why the WSJ published the article this week.

Why not simply start a new thread about non-refundable tickets for bankrupt US airlines, possibly in the Everything Else sub-forum?

Suffice now that they can afford to keep flying at the outset and they'll get their new licence....

Now Lufthansa decides to take over several Alitalia routes out of Malpensa: Barcelona, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Madrid, London Heathrow and Lisbon
