The Court of Cassation recently ruled that a legal immigrant could reunite with her illegal immigrant minor child. Great news, but the Right has denounced the ruling as “another hammer blow for legality” and “legitimisation of clearly illegal behaviour”.

Ironically, not long ago, within the lifetime of most of those Rightists denouncing the ruling, Italian immigrants working in Switzerland suffered the same problem.
