Can anyone recommend a good spot for a 4-5 day winter getaway (this is for February) that's within 2 or 3 hours of Rome? I'm hoping for somewhere romantic for my husband and I to relax, go on walks, sit by a fire, read, drink hot chocolate, etc. Skiing not necessary. Thanks!

Find Terminillo on the map as it's the nearest half-decent _ski_ resort near Rome, and then look around nearby at slightly lower altitudes for more what you want if you don't want the actual skiing.

Personally I find skiing a great aphrodisiac, although never really benefited from it in that way!
