Hi, I am wanting to go somewhere warm and sunny this winter for a nice relaxing beach vacation. It would be my husband and I, our 2 year old and the baby. We are looking for someplace reasonably priced, with a beautiful beach and not too long a flight. Any ideas?

Lanzarote one of the Canary islands is supposed to be a really nice island with lots of good beaches, restaurants and low rise accomodation.
Both my sisters have been there a few times and I know that many of the hotels cater for kids with babysitting etc.It;s an all year round sun destination but not sure exactly how warm it would be !!!

I've heard that Malta is sunny and warm. I don't expect most of the Med water is warm, but since I am from Maine, that wouldn't hold me back.
Some local expats have a house in South Africa. That's warm and sunny, but a long flight.
Agadir in Morocco isn't very far. I don't think I would have cares for Sharm al Sheik even before the terrorism.
