I searched the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for, so I'll post my question here.

I'm invited to a wedding in Dusseldorf, Germany in December - what airlines should I look to for flying cheaply from Italy?

Thanks Smiler - and HOORAY I have 8 days to go. Smiler

flight list

See if that works. It should show different cities and the flights to Dusseldorf. Which airline depends on which city you want to fly out of. Unless you want to travel to a different city first.

I don't know if that's all the choices but it's a start.

Don't forget about the major airlines. If you plan far enough ahead you can get some good deals. For example, R/T Rome to Dusseldorf nonstop on Lufthansa can run less than euros 100.

http://www.attitudetravel.com/lowcostairlines/europe/

this is a great site .

I usually go to my destination airport website and have a look at the time table so I know if I should be looking for flights from Bologna or Roma.

Try www.whichbudget.com - Shirley suggested it to me yesterday on another thread. It shows all the budget lines by airport.

Ryanair could be good for you too.

Considering it's December that you're travelling, I'd book soon if you're looking for a real cheapie. Prices tend to go up quickly due to the Christmas holidays and there's also the December 8th holiday here.

The best way to fly cheaply to Germany if you can book at least a month in advance is Air Berlin. www.airberlin.com
