Dear Friends,
If you haven't registered to vote yet, you have less than 10 days left for the most important election of modern times.
Registering is easy with the web site
www.overseasvote2004.com. You answer the questions your state requires, then print, sign, date and mail it off to the address provided. Your request form must REACH your county election official's office by OCTOBER 2.
Please take 5 minutes from your day, and register!
Because time is short, if you live in or near Milan, contact us and we will bring your completed registration to the consulate, where it is mailed off overnight. You have to allow a few days for it to reach your county clerk so SEPTEMBER 24 is the LAST day to bring it to the consulate.
You can find out the status of your registration by calling this toll-free number in Italy: 800 874 729.
If you have registered but do not receive your absentee ballot by October 10, CALL US. We will send you or give you an absentee ballot and bring it to the consulate for mailing. We are also planning a write-in party in Milan in mid-October. Check
www.it.democratsabroad.org for details.
If you have already registered and requested an absentee ballot, please send this to other expats. And URGE YOUR AMERICAN FRIENDS TO VOTE. This time, we really can change the course of the world.
Best regards,
Jennifer Clark
