I hope that SOMEONE out there will be able to give me an answer to this question:

Everywhere I turn I see specials FROM the states to Europe, but I NEVER see specials from Europe to the states. I'm registered with NWA and Delta as living in the US, but Art is registered with NWA, Delta AND KLM as living in Italy, so I would think that if any specials were offered, we would receive them one way or another.

Am I doing something wrong? Or are "specials" just not offered with flights originating in Europe?

I recently changed my Alitalia membership so that it appears that i'm living in italy now. Indeed, i recently got a great specials offer for flights from here to the states. So it is possible that nothing much has come up on those other airlines of late?!! Perhaps NWA, Delta AND KLM are not airlines with many flights that originate in italy, or they use partners for this part of the flight, which could explain why you don't get specials. You should keep track on alitalia. I also often fly Lufthansa, who seem to have good rates all the time.

By the way, while we're on the topic of cheap flights, ryanair is having a seat sale today and tomorrow. Supposedly you can get to london for ten cents, but i have yet to find a flight for under 7.99E... and with taxes a return trip costs 50 euros, 100 euros for the two of us... factor in hotels... Not going on london weekend escapade after all!!
