A small group of knitters is launching Stitch and Bi*ch Milano, a regular meetup for knitters (but we do not turn our noses up at other crafers with portable crafts) based in Milano. The first S'n'B was launched in Chicago by feminist editor and crafter Debbie Stoller, and now it's a network webbing America and Europe.

Weare holidng our first meetup in Milano this Saturday, the 17, at 4 pm, at the Triennale "Caffè Design" coffee shop. Getting there is easy, Triennale is a short walk from Cadorna station (subway lines 1 and 2 and FNM trains), and a bunch of trams and busses also reach it. To learn more, check out the Motivi a Maglia blog entry, or feel free to contact me. English is spoken.

Ooo...what about those of us who are super new to knitting? Is this a chat and stitch or also a stitch and teach? I crocheted, once....but I'm out of knitting. I'd like to learn though....thoughts?

I mean, I would like to socialize of course but I would just be sitting there with two needles that I know have to go in opposite hands.

I too have been toying with the idea of learning to knit. I'm very good at bit**ing, however. Hee hee.
