I am buzzing through the books I brought...and have bought here. I found Amazon.co.uk is a good source. Too bad we can't rotate books around....

You know, I was thinking of the same thing. I usually go on buying blitzes whenever i fly through england or whenever i'm home in canada. I also stock up when people leave town, which in Florence is pretty frequent.

Cristina, maybe you could invent a way for there to be a book exchange part of the website. I wonder if it would be sufficiently economical to mail them to each other, on a trust basis. One way to do this would be to have a "book exchange" section on the forum index and you could just post your available titles. eh?!!

The idea of a book exchange sounds a great idea.
I would both welcome and support it.

I too think this is a great idea. The easiest way would be to have a huge get together and bring the books we have to trade along but since Italy is big and we are spread out a bit this may not be possible.

Let me look into doing a database for listings and see what we can do to organize and control it.

Maybe we need to appoint someone to be our travelling lending library.

I'd also be willing to share DVDs and VHS tapes, if we can think of some way to insure against loss.
