Hi there – I’m a newly minted ESL teacher (in Washington DC) and as part of my final coursework, I am doing a cultural profile on the city where I want to teach one day…. Rome!

As part of it, we need to list some average costs (in Euros) for Rome and I’m having trouble finding them.

A can of soda
A haircut
A single bedroom apartment
A moderately priced dinner at a restaurant
A one-night stay at a moderately priced motel

**

Also, as an American living in Rome, I would love any tips any of you might have for Americans planning to move there. Particularly cultural things that you found surprising, or did not expect as an American.

Thanks
