I have read several threads regarding electrical charges and have seen a particularly wide range, some comfortably exceeding 100 euro per month. However, when one looks at the ENEL tariffs (e.g. domestic @ resident rate (D2) defined here: www.enel.it/distribuzione/enel_distribuzione/tariffe/usi_domestici/d2/) , I find it hard to reconcile these numbers. I'm doubly confused when I look at ENEL's D2 example (www.enel.it/distribuzione/enel_distribuzione/tariffe/esempi/).

Either ENEL's example is inaccurately calculated (an eminent possibility), or the consumption that attracts charges of over 100 euro per month is more than substantial. Can someone help to the apparent inconsistency here?

Can you be more specific? How many KW does the ENEL link show for a 100 euro electric bill?

My initial post was misleading - when I referred to the threads I meant on this forum. Several members on the forum have reported electrical charges of well over 100 euro per month. ENEL's tariffs and example (which yields an annual electrical cost of just 26 euros for an admittedly modest consumption of 1,100 kWh) make these 100+ euro charges per month seem exorbitant. I'm trying to reconcile member experiences with ENEL's purported economy.

I don't think I've ever met anyone that only used €26 worth of electricity per year. I think a nightlight would probably use that much.

This is precisely my point, and the source of my confusion. And yet this is the example on the ENEL website - an annual cost of 26 euros for 1,100 kWh consumption!!

I've never met anyone who used only 1,100 kWh of electricity in a year. We use more than four times that amount and we have a bare minimum of electrical appliances. The €26 calculation is also based on a 3 kW supply and doesn't seem to include the Imposte. Or IVA.

well...my last Enel bill was about 130 euro - for 2 months. My house is only 45sq meters. I do have a washing machine (no dryer) and an electric heater (when it's chilly)...and one bathroom with an electric waater heater...but that's about it. I do pay non-resident rate, which makes it a bit higher.
