Dear all,
I will be arriving Rome in 2nd week of September as a Student. As I am planning my living expenses, appreciate if any one could help regarding the same. I intend to keep my budget as low as possible. [B]Important Note:B] My accomodation will be taken care by the university I only need to plan my daily food expenses considering self cooking option.
According to the calculation it seems I have
300 Euro's per month for rationing, wandering is that sufficient?? Thanks!!

..Bond

Even for a single, Rome will be expensive no matter what, but if you can get to shops like Lidl or other discount places once a week, you should be able to squeak by on 300--as long as the uni takes care of your lodging and said lodging includes kitchen facilities. That should also afford the occasional "night out" with pizza and a beer or two.

As filomena indicates be prepared to live on pasta, tinned tomatoes and not much else if you want a social life as well! You won't have anything much left for beer or treats, so you will have to decide - food or beer and pizza every few days Wink! You're British so I'm assuming you'll pick the beer and pizza and starve the rest of the time ( I'm a Brit too, so I can say this - honest!)
