from L'Arena:

Why am I not surprised London is the most expensive though? Having said that you have to try really hard in London to spend 24 euros on 3 non-alcoholic drinks, whereas in Florence...easy! Big Grin I learnt that one the hard way. My kids are die-hard succhi drinkers so I now know all the cheaper places to go to!

the article compares cost of luxury real estate rather than cost of living.

sorry, blame the persistent migraine, which, after a liberal dose of Spiderman 3, has now gone! I missed out completely all the stuff about cost per sq. metre.

Our London flat had 2 bedrooms, one big enough for a single, the other a double with an ensuite and a lounge/kitchen/diner-I'd call it a studio flat? It also had a small balcony overlooking tower bridge. The rent was about £1900 a month exc. utilities and condo charge! Just short of 3000euros? You could fit the whole flat in our kitchen and sitting room here!
