Ha, Ha the kids around here don't go back to school until September 15th. Wait... Maybe that's why they are 2 years behind like the article Bill put up a while ago.

They get out earlier and start later... Hmmm we need a rocket scientist to figure this out... huh?

Sept. 15th here in Torino, as well. I am glad, though, since school adds a whole new dimension to our life (homework, schedules, getting up EXTRA early, and a NEW school (!!) arggg) I am not ready yet! Oh, my son, I guess he isn't ready either... hungover
Many Italian Univ. students are studying for upcoming exams, but actual instruction in public Uni.s is not until October, I believe.

It must be just here in Varese the children start on 1 September. I guess this is because they all get a week off whilst the cycling world championchips are on here from 22-28 September.

It's been a little stressful here with daughter starting her first school in Italy - although it is an EU school - in the middle of secondary school too. Big Big change (for ALL of us) from the montessori high school back in New Zealand.

Our kids start at the International school here (Napoli area) on Monday as well. The Italians won't go back till at least the 15th from what I've been told. Soccer practice and Cub Scouts have already started, though...
