Have any of you attended or know of the Italian language school “Lingua IT” in Verona? From its web site (www.linguait.it) it could be an interesting school for my wife who is a beginner with the language and also for me (who is at the B2 level). If not, has anyone attended another language school in Verona that you were pleased with?

Any thoughts on language schools around Verona would be quite helpful.

Not sure about the schools in Verona, but was curious about where in Phila you are from. Just came to Turino with Husband for his job for next 18 months. I too from Phila. How is Verona. There is a good school here that I will be checking out next week. Good luck with classes.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have been a bit tied up this week and not had any free moments to look at this forum.

I am from the area a bit north of Philadelphia known as Huntingdon Valley. In fact I am still there. The possibility is for my wife, our 9 year old daughter, and myself to live a year in Italy starting during August 2009. We have not found a specific location yet, but for many reasons it looks like it will be north of Rome. One key item for us will be to find a school for our daughter and we are thinking that an international school would be the better bet. Verona looks to have many of the features that we would like and it has an international school that appears to be worth researching.

How are you enjoying Turino? Have you been there long enough to find a comfortable pattern to life? If you do not mind could you recount about the school that you are looking into?

I recently moved back to the States after 2.5 years in Verona. Verona is a wonderful city and I attended school at LinguaIT. I spoke no Italian before moving there and I learned enough at Lingua IT to make myself understood and to understand. (3 months of classes) I know others who became quite fluent after classes at LinguaIT. I really enjoyed their fieldtrips (local walking tours, weekly short distance trips, or frequent day trips) and I made lots of friends through the school. I highly recommend checking it out to see if it would be a good fit for your family. Best of luck. AJ
