Hello, I may need to go to Universita di Siena for school. I am not familiar at all with the city. For those of you that live in Siena, how do you like the city? is it easy to get around and park the car? If anyone knows of any good B&B's or hotels please let me know, or a room available for rent for a few months Nov to Jan 08. I may have to audit a few courses at the Facolta di Medicina e Chirurgia (Odontoiatria) and the classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was thinking of driving from Bologna to Siena (2 hours) but not really too keen with that idea. Any suggestions and information would be appreciated. Thanks. C

Siena is the most amazing place on the face of the earth. You are so luck and I am so jealous.

It would definitely be easier to get an apartment in Siena than to do that drive. You can't park in the city itself, you park just outside and walk in.

Everyone that I've talked to loves Siena =) Thanks for your input everyone. Now theres another problem. La facolta di medicina has approved my application and to take these two courses which starts today 01/10/07. However, the segretaria told me that I'm not officially registered in the University that there are a few other steps to be completed. I'm thinking what youre thinking "the classes have started" and if i have to pass the exams at the end of the course, how do i do that when i've missed some lectures. Oh what to do!!! Should i just go to the course even though I'm not official? Or not show and just show up when all the politics has been ironed out?

I can't remember what it's called but there's a hostel/long-term stay residence that was pretty affordable... I think it was like 4-500 a month for a shared room? It's right on the road that goes between the McDonalds and Conad and there's a DaVinci school sign on the door.. it's on the 3rd and 4th floors... Hope that helps!
