This is my first post. My Moroccan in-laws currently reside in Florence. I live in the United States. They are not able to find reliable info themselves, so I am the "family advocate." Anyhow, my husband's sister has been studying English in the United States for one year and is now returning to Florence to live with her family. She is at a "first year" high school level, quite a bit behind since she is 18. I have been researching the evening high schools in and around Florence and would appreciate any recommendations or suggestions. She would prefer to attend high school during the day but I am afraid she will have problems renewing her permesso di soggiorno in August (when it expires)if she is not employed full-time. Previously she had no problems renewing since she was a minor. Does anyone have any idea what problems she might run into now due in part to her age? I believe she must have more "suitable" housing, etc. I have found quite a few good sites and I am trying to piece together info, but it is quite frustrating at times. It is also difficult to get the schools to return emails. I haven't tried calling yet, due in part to my lack of skill at the Italian language. I would appreciate any advice you could provide. Thanks!
