Hello,

I'm about to fill out a College Application ( University of MD ) and since I graduated from an Italian High School (13th Grade) I need a copy of my Italian transcripts. What sort of documentation should I ask my former high school for?
All I have on hand is a Diploma.
Should I request a copy of all the grade reports from the 9th grade to the 13th ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you

My husband went to liceo in Italy too and then later applied for college in the US. He was able to get the full transcript for his last year of high school on the school website and then translated this into English using the number scale, not changing them into letter grades. This was sufficient.

By the way, I absolutely love the University of Maryland. I went to visit it senior year and almost applied!

Tiffany,

I just spoke with the High School Administration Office and they will be able to provide something very similar to what you describe. Unfortunately I cannot translate any part of it myself, since they require the translation to be certified.

U.Md is a great University, it seems that every other student is from out of state. :-)

Thank You,

Bill 2,

A few miles out of Udine, but that was a decade ago'..and the place has really changed in the last few years.

I presume you live in PN ? ;-)

Yes, I live near Montereale Valcellina. I've been here since '94- you're right, they have fixed things up quite a bit.

I take it that the University wants it certified, right?

Yes, and they need to be mailed from the High School ( Scuola Superiore ) to the University. :-(

Hi all,

I was just wondering: I too am applying for college in the US and am now in 13th grade al liceo, but the school will not send my transcripts directly to the colleges because they say it's not allowed by their procedures. Has anyone else encountered this problem? And does anybody know if the colleges might accept the transcripts if they pass through my hands (because the school will give them only to me personally)?

Thank you!
