I'd like to move the conversation about learning English here, rather than in the cheating thread. I've a couple of points. I'd agree with most about the poor state of English education here. Except for some families like my wife's. They all speak decent English. And my wife who had the classic education never had much formal English. She studied Latin, Greek and French in school and had some private lessons in English.

Around here everyone says they want to learn it. And they all studied some in school, but can hardly speak. We've been thinking about organizing some sort of after school classes that were more converstation oriented and fun. Sort of full emersion, but not too structured.
