One thing at a time. Last night having replaced the cookies, Bloglines was fine. This morning it was not. Now it is. Perhaps a system prob with them.

I would prefer to say what I saw not on the forum, Cristina, for obvious reasons.

The forum thing was when I clicked on "reply" a page came up that I have never seen before. It had buttons for deleting and editing all the posts, including yours. I presume that those were moderator powers?

Judith I can't fix a problem if I don't know what the problem is! I can't contact support with the answers you give. If you do not want to say on the board then do it in an email or a pm.

Cristina, I don't know what else to say! I innocently clicked on "reply" on a thread and got a page that gave me to the power to do all those things within the thread I'd clicked on.
I don't know whether those are/are not moderator pages. I have never seen what you see. That is what I saw this morning.
I'm only trying to be helpful. I have doubled today's updates and done 2 sets of scans and checked to be sure that peacomm was covered (it was on 21 January) and still you all seem to think it is my computer.

You have to understand that if you are the only one who seems to be having problems, then it is only natural to suspect that the problem is on your computer and not on the server. If ZoneAlarm doesn't find anything, perhaps another program will. Use the link I provided for Spyware Doctor and try their free scan. It's usually better to use the smaller, expert programs rather than cover-it-all solutions. Compare the service you get from small boutiques to supermarkets.

We are not accusing you of anything, it's just that we're desperately trying to figure out what the problem is and we're really in the dark here.

I don't understand what it is you claim to have seen upon hitting reply. Look at this picture, this is what I see when I hit reply. I am a moderator with admin rights. Did you see something other than this?!

Judith, you wrote:

What are the obvious reasons? If this is something that is happening to others then saying it will only help let people know that there is a problem.

When you clicked on reply (which one the yellow or the blue one) did the page look something like the image below?

OK, this is my decision. I am backing out the door carefully. I will be sure it is latched. I emailed you already about the other circumstance and what I saw.

That resembles nothing I saw. What I saw looked just like our normal greenish pages but with more buttons fopr doing more things. I got right out of it immediately.

Really, it would be better if you helped us to solve the problem.

Okay, let's try again. Did you see something like this?

Trojan Peacam
This is the warning I received from Symantec (Norton) about this virus - sorry that it's in Italian. But it says NOT to open any e-mails which say they are sending news updates, some of which are listed below (and boy, wouldn't some of them be tempting?:

Trojan.

• A killer at 11, he's free at 21 and kill again!
• U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has kicked German Chancellor Angela Merkel
• British Muslims Genocide
• Naked teens attack home director.
• 230 dead as storm batters Europe.
• Re: Your text
• Radical Muslim drinking enemies's blood.
• Chinese missile shot down Russian satellite
• Chinese missile shot down Russian aircraft
• Chinese missile shot down USA aircraft

I got quite a few of those emails in my Yahoo spam filter over the past few days--many times in a row, so that a Chinese Missile had hit just about everything but China.

Goodness I hate spammers and virus writers... soapbox2
