Permesso di Soggiorno

Hi everyone,
I've moved recently and have been using my parents' computer to access the internet. Problem is every time I try to post or search on Expats, I get a message from Groupee asking me to log-in and/or re-register or something to that effect. I have repeatedly done so and checked the "remember me" box, but have to go through the same sign-on when I come back.

I've deleted cookies and still have the same problem. Is there another solution?

Thanks!

Wouldn't deleting the cookies cause that? Also, maybe your parents have set up their computer to clear certain things on a regular basis.

As Gil said, it is probably a cookie. What browser are you using? You need to tell the browser to save the cookie for expattalk.

Cristina, I'm having a different problem. I'm no longer able to edit my own posts. How do I get this permission again?

Hmmm. I thought the other postings I had read suggested that cookies needed to be deleted, so that's what I did. I'll try your other suggestions. Thanks everyone.

p.s. Since Bill mentioned it, I also lost the little eraser icon to edit my own posts, but I assumed it's all related to changing computers.

I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0. I enabled cookies specifically for expattalk.com and expatsinitaly.com. Still having the same problem. Any other suggestions?
Thanks! Smiler

Thanks Gil. I think for now I'll just have to make due with the repeated logins.

I'm currently having this same problem as Beth M. Every time I want to post I have to log back into Groupee. I use Mozilla Firefox and nothing has changed. I also noticed that expats 'sees' me as a guest and not a member. What's the problem?

Do you have cookies turned off? I think Groupee recognizes you as a member when you visit by checking for a cookie.

Thanks Bill but I have cookies turned on for expatsinitaly and expattalk and am still having the same problem. As Beth M said, I guess I'll just have to deal with it...

Hi christina, I went back to confirmation e-mail and clicked on the expatstalk button so I think will see if this goes through. If it does I can just go through that e-mail everytime and stop fretting /but I will try to log in the conventional way in and minute and am sending you the e-mail as. Thanks for all your help. It sounds like others have had similar problems
