We will be getting a complete upgrade on Wednesday night-Thursday morning (PST). During the upgrade, the board will be down for a couple of hours. Some of the changes that will be made are:

  • Private topic indicator in the community
  • Faster/more reliable “New Since your Last Visit” and “Today’s Active Topics”
  • Topic list sorted alphabetically
  • Ability to keep stats historical vs. live (post & reply counts)
  • Online now at the forum level
  • Feature topics across all forums
  • Faster/Simpler interface for Content Islands
  • RSS feeds of some Content Islands
  • Replace copy topics with linking topics
  • Search engine friendly URLS

I am looking forward to this upgrade but hope the down time wiull not cause a problem.

Looks like we have a few of the same situations as ST...everyone now has ZERO posts, and the lightbulb has been replaced by a folder. I wonder what else has changed?

Yep, so far everything the same. It will get fixed so don't worry. For the fonts etc., give me a couple of days. My hubby is on vacation this week and we have been remodeling our basement. Put in a ceiling, painting, opened a hole under the stairts for more storage and tomorrow we lay parquet. As soon as I finish with that I will fix everything that I can fix (Infopop has to do the rest!)

FYI, this morning (Monday) I was unable to get on either expats or Slowtalk. Jill said she had the same problem. I tried from 9 am until maybe 1, and they both finally came up shortly after that. More updates?

The upgrade that they did to the software was supposed to make the sites run faster but instead we are all having huge problems with slowness. I have spending tons of time at infopop waiting for an answer but it seems that they are still working on the problem. I think we just have to be patient (not easy for someone like me!)

Is the find new messages function not working now? Also some messages threads aren't working.
