Hi All!
I have posted before regarding nannies, now I REALLY need your help for advice on public schools.

We just moved to Turin from California, and I have had a babysitter stay with them whilst I am at work. They REALLY need social interaction with other kids, and I really want them to learn Italian. Ella is 4 and Adi will be 3 in October.
I looked into private daycares, but they are SO expensive.

First question - in Italy, are there public schools for kids this young? And if so, how have you found the public school system?

Also, anyone here living in Turin (aside from you Jen!) that is in the same situation as me?

Any advice would be welcomed!!

Thanks so much,
Aniya

Public school (scuola materna) starts at age THREE in Italy! My impression is that the quality varies very much depending on where you live. My daughter is in the French system, so I can't say much more.
