Have seen lots of messages on here about where to meet up with other mums and pre-schoolers. A groups of English speaking mums get together every monday morning from around 10am at the English Church on Via Maggio (south of the river). We have an advert in the personals section of the Florentine newspaper (available free from all sorts of places in Florence!). That has contact numbers if you need them. If you want to just turn up just press any of the buzzers, you go in and up the stairs then it is the first door on the right that you come to, hope to see some new faces soon.

Anyone interested in this, please call ahead to find out the location. During the winter we will be meeting in homes instead of the church due to lack of heating. Phone numbers are in the Florentine personals section.

Hi there

I am based in Massa but will be visiting Florence quite frequently. Unfortunately I have not yet found a copy of the Personals you refer to. I would really appreciate it if you could contact me via e-mail so that I can get the details. Sorry for the inconveniance. Thanks in advance
Helen

Newly arrived to the countryside just outside Certaldo. Any other mums (I have a 5 month old girl) in the area?

This group is now meeting in the American Church (St James) on Via B. Rucellai in Florence, every Monday morning from about 10am in the Undercroft (basement).

We now have a website with details, address is:
http://xoomer.virgilio.it/kvanzi/intro.html

The kids range from newborn to about 4 years. There are mum's from the UK, US, Australia, Sweden etc.

Helen sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I don't check this very often! Hopefully you will be able to view the website listed above. The ad doesn't run all the time in the Florentine, just when they have space as they do it for free for usSmiler
