Hi there!
I just arrvied (last week) to La Spezia area and I am looking for an English speaking mothers group/play group. I have a 17 month old girl, and I would love to get to know the area and thepeople here.
Regards
Lynda

Welcome Lyndamh! I am not a mother (yet!) but happy to give you some advice on the area.

There is a group of international women in La Spezia who meet, I believe, every first Wednesday of the month at the Jolly Hotel in La Spezia. You can actually go to or call the hotel to confirm the next get together. To be honest, I have never done it myself.

I can also ask some of my friends who have children a little older if they know of any play groups.

You can always email me as well at megan dot bellavitaitalia dot com. Smiler

Thanks for your post, I appreciate it!
I might drop you a line on your email once I have settled in a little more.

Best regards, Lynda

Hello Lynda!
In January I moved to Rapallo with my husband and our baby girl (8,5 months). I guess that we are sort of in the same situation? I have met a few Italian moms, but my Italian is not very good (yet!) so the conversation runs low. Play groups are hard to find. Maybe we could get together somewhere in Liguria (Rapallo, La Spezia or in between?) for a coffee?
