Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that my son is officially enrolled in a public school here in Turin. Everyone I have spoken with has glowing praises for this school, which seems to have an excellent reputation and is in a wonderful area. For security purposes I will not give the name of the school online (but of course if you write to me individually and I know who you are I will share more...), but I wanted to share the good news. At first the school of course said they were full, but I left them with my personal information, etc.., and they "found" a space- they were extremely nice, welcoming, and overall so far I am happy with how they dealt with the enrollment situation. Best of all, my colleague here at work was told 100% his daughter, entering into the 1st grade, would never get a space at this school, but voila! They called yesterday and his daughter is in too.

Congratulations! Another item to cross off the list, must feel pretty good.

It cracks me up how very often Italians will say, "no, that's impossible" and then in the next minute, they "find" a way to get you what you want. Too funny.
