Ok, I have read the posts in this subforum and believe I have 1 year from my PdS to get my Patente Sorted. I'm also pretty excited that I can take the written test in English.

However, I am wondering how the grace period affects the purchase and insurance of a vehicle. In my case a motorcycle.
Can I buy a vehicle or am I restricted to renting or driving the vehicles of others?

While taking the driving portion of the test I am aware I must hire a dual brake car, but what am I supposed to take a motorcycle test on? (Obviously if I can buy a motorcycle during my grace period this should be sorted out)

Also My US driver's license is not limited by engine size or power will I be restricted to 250cc when I start out with a new Italian License?

I currently have:

US Driver's License (WA State) with Motorcycle Endorsement
AAA Translation of License
PdiS
Codice Fiscale

I'll start the process of getting my Patente next month and wanted to be a bit more informed.

Thanks in advance for help with any of these questions!
