Can anyone suggest/recommend an autoscuola anywhere near us that offers the patente exam in English? We are in Lunigiana and none of the local driving schools can help. I believe that some schools in Lucca (about an hour away) do offer the test in English and have the English language theory books, but I've contacted several with no luck.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

The actual test in English is given at the Motorizzazione Civile for your province. I would see if you can get your local autoscuola to at least help you get your foglio rosa and order the books for you.

We used these 2 books:

http://www.patente.it/sida/quiz_arg_patAB_stranieri.htm

Editted to correct spelling of foglio (not fogio)

Thanks! We will check with one of the driving schools in Aulla about getting the books now that we have something we can show them.

Graeme is right. You can see the books we got from our autoscuola at www.patente.it . But they won't sell to the public, only to an autoscuola. You could try Italian ebay.
