Paola,
Surely you've noticed that I'm American and in Puglia! I think I'm the only other one on Expats in Italy. There are few around like the famous Dr Mike but I've only met him once in 5years!
There are a lot over by Martina Franca that work for Boeing in the new Alenia plant. But they seem to come and then go.
Drop by my site www.jeffinitaly.com

Have you been to "Tedesco" in Caravigno? It's a good meat lovers outdoor restuarant.
San Vito is a good 15 min away so a formal GTG isn't really needed, unless more materialize. The patron saints of Brindisi festival is coming up the first weekend in September. I could show you around the madness that is the centro storico that weekend! I love the saints festival weekend but only because I live and the centro storico and don't have to worry about finding a parking spot.

Hi, Jeff, we did meet once at a PP gathering in S. Michele (at Michele Torroni's cousin's place, Naxos) -- we're back later in Sept., would love to take you to a nice lunch in return for a tour of the centro storico! Jim in particular would like a download on your past couple of years. I'll PM you w/ our contact info. Paola

Hello PaolaR and Jeffo!

I'll be in Puglia this coming November and staying near Carovigno for 8 days. I would love to meet up with both of you!

I have been researching how I can move to Puglia for a year. This is my exploratory trip to find out about what it's like to live there and meet with people who have made the move.

Are either of you living there permanently? Would you be interested in meeting for dinner in November?

My lodging schedule is as follows:
10-Nov Mon Monte Sant'Angelo
11-Nov Tue Trani
12-Nov Wed Trani
13-Nov Thu Conversano
14-Nov Fri Alberobello
15-Nov Sat Alberobello
16-Nov Sun Alberobello
17-Nov Mon Alberobello
18-Nov Tue Alberobello
19-Nov Wed Alberobello - Maybe Lecce
20-Nov Thu Alberobello - Maybe Lecce
21-Nov Fri Alberobello

I'd love to hear from you,

Anna

Anna,
Sure we'll meet up as you know about my site and how to get a hold of my through that. But if you do live here for a year then you have to promise not tell too many people how like it. We don't want Puglia to become "the next Tuscany".. Wink
