Expo Regalo, the annual Christmas fair, starts tomorrow, Dec 1, and runs thru next weekend. It's in the big exposition center in Bastia, near Assisi, and just off the main highway. They have gifts including lots of wonderful food items. HERE'S the link with opening hours and details.

Aaargh! Go to ExpoRegalo on a Sunday? I hope you adore crowds Smiler It is a good show, but not for the fainthearted

Make your visit during the morning if you hope to park anywhere nearer than Assisi (and I am only slightly joking!!)

I went today and it wasn't bad at all. I was early because it turns out it didn't open until 3pm but I killed some time and was one of the first people in. Got great food gifts to bring home for Christmas.

that's why I posted the link, so people could check the times...which often seem strange to foreigners. According to the schedule, they open at 3 on workdays (which includes Saturday), and at 10 on (festivi) holidays (Sundays)...which also includes next Sat, Dec 8th, I think.

Thanks for posting the information. I went today and it wasn't at all crowded...and parking was a breeze, literally right outside the door.

I plan on going back during the week to get a couple of things that I spotted today. Hopefully it will be a light crowd then too.

Anyone planning to be in lovely CALCATA today (Sunday Dec. 9th) or next weekend?

I'm taking part, with my books, in a Christmas Fair in Il Granarone there later this morning. It happens every year and runs from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Feel free to stop in, and I'll explain to you how to find La Grotta dei Germogli for a lovely lunch too. For pictures of my books check out:

or this:
my Etsy store

From what I understand from past attendees, price points are largely under 20-30 euro.
